The College of Business Career Resource Center is dedicated to providing College of Business students and alumni with access to internship and job placement opportunities. Students can enhance their academic studies through degree-related work experience.

Our office works closely with the University's centralized Career Development Center to coordinate on-campus interviews, career fairs, and/or other career development related activities.

One of our key objectives is to partner with employers recruiting Business students to help fulfill their employment goals, whether for internships or permanent positions. We strive to be the premier resource to meet your employment needs.

Undergraduate Student Recommendations

1st and 2nd Year

  • Take a career assessment test at FAU’s Career Development Center
  • Participate in student organizations on campus to learn more about different industries
  • Attend as many corporate information sessions/skills workshops as possible
  • Create your initial resume
  • Go to the job fair – you may not be sure what your major/career goals are yet, but this is a great place to network and talk to recruiters
  • Research industries on the web
  • Keep your GPA high
  • Register on BizCareersLink

3rd Year

  • Declare your major
  • Continue to do what you have been for the previous two years but tailor your activities to your major
  • Participate in an internship or internship for credit
  • Network as much as possible – job fairs, recruiting activities, student organizations, job fairs etc

4th Year

  • Participate in an internship
  • Continue to tailor your resume to meet your defined job search
  • Attend programs geared for the graduating student
  • Use BizCareersLink to find jobs and apply
  • Attend both job fairs and approach your job search seriously and professionally
