Students that desire a more traditional classroom experience may participate in the optional live lectures held on Saturday mornings at the Fort Lauderdale campus.
All students can view class lectures on an iPod, iPad, PC, Mac or cell phone or listen to lectures on an MP3 player while driving, jogging or even working out in the gym.
Healthcare is a fragmented, layered trillion dollar marketplace with significant risk and exposure to waste, fraud, and abuse. Accountants and business professionals find themselves taking on the task of working in this environment. A foundation of understanding “how” healthcare really works behind the scenes is critical to any successful audit or investigation. The certificate program provides students with no fraud experience such a strong foundation to build upon. Further, the program’s use of the case study method provides those with fraud experience a stronger foundation upon which to advance their practice.
The Master of Accounting with a Concentration in Business Valuation is a two-year program designed to provide students with specialized knowledge and skills that address one of the most important and growing specialized areas of accounting. Generally speaking, applicants should have a 4-year degree from a regionally-accredited college, with a B average.
The Executive Master of Taxation is a degree program offered by the School of Accounting Executive Programs (SOAEP), a department in FAU’s AACSB-accredited and nationally recognized College of Business. This program is designed with the busy tax professional’s schedule in mind.
The Certificate in Business Valuation is a four-course certificate program that is designed to provide students with specialized knowledge and skills that address an important and growing specialized area of accounting. The courses in the program are offered in a lock-step manner.
