Education and Experience:
Ph.D. University of Florida, 2002   

Dr. Eric Chiang started his career as an Economics major at UCLA.  He entered the graduate program in Economics at the University of Florida in 1997, and was awarded the Ph.D. in 2002.  His first university appointment was at New Mexico State University as a visiting assistant professor in the Dept of Economics and International Business.  Dr. Chiang came to FAU in 2003 as an assistant professor in the Dept of Economics.  In 2008, Dr. Chiang was promoted to Associate Professor, and in 2009, was awarded the title of Stewart Distinguished Professor.  Dr. Chiang teaches courses in Microeconomics, Game Theory, and International Trade.  In 2009, Dr. Chiang was selected by students as the Distinguished Teacher of the Year, the highest teaching honor at FAU.
