Center for Cryptology and Information Security
The Department of Mathematics in the College of Science houses the newly created Center for Cryptology and Information Security under the InternetCoast Institute. This Center will be an internationally recognized Center for research in cryptology and related areas of information security. It will promote and facilitate collaboration with information and communications technology industries and federal and state governmental departments working in the areas of information security. It will also foster interdisciplinary cooperation within the university.
The Center conducts highly technical computer and communications security research and security protection methods in areas such as cryptology, authentication, secret sharing, VP networks, interactive security protocols, and embedded systems.
