InternetCoast Adams Professors

The InternetCoast Adams Professorships are three-year appointments. Each Adams Professor represents one of the departments in the College of Business.

The Professorships are awarded based on research proposals submitted by faculty members. The research activities are directed toward the use and effect of information technology as it relates to a department within the College.

The following faculty members have recently been selected as InternetCoast Adams Professorships in the College of Business for the next three years (beginning in 2004) to work on the respective research projects:

  • Mark Peterson’s research will continue to focus on cultural factors affecting communication technology use across nine countries on five continents.
  • Som Bhattacharya’s research will focus on assessing client auditing controls of business processes that are outsourced offshore and also whether cost is the only criterion used for outsourcing decisions.
  • Pradeep Korgaonkar’s research will continue to focus on predictors of e-commerce transactions (e.g., perceived product risk and product classification) in markets differentiated by ethnicity and gender.
