Florida Atlantic University's College of Business has created a state-of-the art trading, research and teaching facility here in South Florida. The FAU Trading room serves to bridge the gap between classroom learning and business practice.
As part of its overall mission, the room has three main objectives:
- To prepare students to meet the challenges in the ever changing global financial markets by providing them access to start-of-the art technology. A trading room affords students the ability to participate in the fast-paced, rapid-fire world of trading and risk management. It provides exposure that enhances the financial education of students and the corporate community.
- To serve as a valued-added resource for businesses and corporations seeking to improve their employees' knowledge of financial markets or to provide advanced training in specific areas.
- To further enhance the reputation of Florida Atlantic University as a premier provider of financial education.

About the Trading Room
The FAU Trading room brings the reality of Wall Street finance and trading to the Boca Raton campus. Students learn real-life skills in the same environment they will see when they graduate. The hardware, software and data feeds are similar to those professional investors and money managers use to trade and manage money.
