The CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional Certificate Program at Florida Atlantic University is registered with the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. (CFP Board). As a CFP Board-Registered Program, successful completion of our curriculum satisfies the CFP Board’s education requirement, allowing an individual to sit for the CFP® Certification Examination. CURRICULUM DESCRIPTION
This course is designed to satisfy the CFP Board’s Financial Plan Development course requirement and to help the student to acquire the professional knowledge necessary to create and communicate effective financial plans to clients.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
This course is designed to be taken as the final required course in the Florida Atlantic University CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional Certification Program.

CFP certification is granted only by Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. to those persons who, in addition to completing an educational requirement such as this CFP Board-Registered Program, have met its ethics, experience and examination requirements.

Carl Christie has been a practicing financial planner for over 27 years and has held the CFP designation since 2001. Carl has also been the National Board Director of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) since January 2013.
