For Credit Internships
FAU and the College of Business offer various opportunities for students to earn credit through internships. Instead of learning in a traditional classroom setting, students can earn real-life hands-on experience to add to their resume while also making progress towards their degree.
Business-Specific Internships
The College of Business offers several internship courses to earn credit towards business majors and minors.
Information for All Business For-Credit Internships
- Students must obtain an internship prior to applying to the course
- Strict application deadlines are enforced; in general, you should begin preparing for an internship in the semester before you plan to take it for credit.

Other Internships
If you have found an internship opportunity but you are either not officially declared in your business major yet or the experience is not business-specific, you can still potentially earn credit.
- Confirm with your academic advisor that you have elective credit available for use as a non-business internship.
