Our 16-month, AACSB-accredited Master of Science in Finance (MSF) degree program offers a full-service, all-inclusive program designed for participants with busy personal and professional commitments. With courses offered on Monday and Wednesday evenings, students have the option to attend classes in-person at our state-of-the-art facility in Boca Raton, Florida or in a live-virtual format, from anywhere with an internet connection.
Our degree prepares students for specialized careers in financial management, investment banking, hedge funds, and investment management. Using real-world applications and access to the top faculty in finance, complementing studies in the classroom help create a real-world learning experience.
The program also includes Bloomberg Certification and preparation courses for the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) designation.
Upon completion of the MSF program, students will earn the Master of Science in Finance degree.

Bloomberg Certification
Master of Science in Finance students can become Bloomberg certified in Equities and/or Fixed Income. The certification program includes recorded instructor-led demonstrations of the functionality of the Bloomberg terminal followed by exams which test the ability to properly use Bloomberg. MSF students can register at their convenience on any of the FAU Bloomberg terminals and will have 24/7 exclusive access to the Bloomberg Lab. Successful completion of the certification requires passing three introductory courses followed by five courses on equities or five courses on fixed income, depending on the certification being pursued.
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) Preparation Courses
The Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation is the globally-recognized standard for establishing professional credibility within the field of financial analysis. If you are a finance or investment professional, the CFA® credential will solidify your position as a competent and credible member of the finance profession, increase your marketability and salary potential, and certify your skills. Master of Science in Finance students interested in pursuing the Chartered Financial Analyst designation can attend FAU Executive Educations CFA® preparation courses Level 1 & 2. Students can start the CFA® preparation courses in their last semester. Tuition for the program will be waived in the student’s final semester. Students must cover the cost of materials to attend the CFA® preparation courses.
