Biography

Vimari Roman, CMM, CGLC, CPQC is the CEO and Founder of Be Productive Meetings & Events and Be Productive Coaching. She is a Hospitality & Meetings industry expert turned entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience at Sonesta, LXR Luxury Resorts, Hilton Hotels, and Accor. Being a second-generation hotelier, she has a passion for hospitality and service. As a change agent, she combines her expertise with her passion for serving others and empowering leaders.

In 2013, after working in prestigious hotels and resorts, Vimari decided to put her knowledge and experience towards assisting corporations in creating strategic meetings management solutions that increase business performance. As a Certified Meetings Manager (CMM), Vimari has built a network of trusted partners that allows Be Productive Meetings & Events to offer exceptional solutions that align with their company goals and objectives, producing measurable results.

In addition to strategic meeting management, Vimari is an expert in career strategies, leadership, and human behavior. As a Certified Global Leadership Coach, she founded Be Productive Coaching in 2014. She focuses her coaching practice in helping professionals find purpose and career satisfaction through coaching, professional branding, and mental fitness. Through her practice she has had the honor of coaching hundreds of high-performing professionals and teams in various industries, amplifying their unique talents and strengthening their mental muscles helping them achieve peak performance, fulfillment, and growth.

Combining her passion for serving others and leadership, Vimari was elected to public office in 2016 and served two legislative terms as a councilperson for the Village Council of El Portal in Miami, Florida. During her term, she also served on two Government Boards within Miami-Dade County.

Vimari is a subject matter expert and as a Certified Leadership and Positive Intelligence ™ Coach, she speaks at conferences and teaches workshops on Emotional Intelligence and Mental Fitness, Personal Branding, Mission and Purpose, and Career Strategies and Transitions. Her board service also includes four years on the South Florida Chapter Board of Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and a current committee member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) South Florida Chapter. In 2019, she was recognized by LinkedIn as a LinkedIn Career Expert, and she currently sits on the faculty for 50/50 Women on Boards teaching the Personal Brand and Digital Presence Workshop.
