Biography

Dr. Joao Ricardo has published more than 130 articles, primarily in macroeconomics, development economics, and in the economics of terrorism. Originally from Brazil, he is now a US Citizen, and he earned his PhD from the University of Kent in England. Dr. Faria’s work has recently appeared in academic journals of economics, political science, operational research, including Journal of Money, Credit and Banking, Oxford Economic Papers, Economics Letters, Research Policy, Journal of Conflict Resolution, Public Choice and European Journal of Operational Research. He has been a consultant to the World Bank and the European Central Bank, and has taught in Australia, Brazil, Canada, England, France and Portugal.
