Douglas Cumming is the DeSantis Distinguished Professor of Finance and Entrepreneurship at the FAU College of Business. Dr. Cumming has published over 200 articles in leading refereed academic journals in finance, management, and law and economics, such as the Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, and Journal of International Business Studies. His work has been cited over 20,000 times according to Google Scholar. He is the Managing Editor-in-Chief of the Review of Corporate Finance (2021-current) and British Journal of Management (2020-current). Dr. Cumming has published 21 academic books, including Crowdfunding: Fundamental Cases, Facts, and Insights (Elsevier Academic Press, 2019). Sofia Johan is an Associate Professor of Finance and Entrepreneurship at the FAU College of Business. Dr. Johan has published over 75 articles in leading refereed academic journals in finance, management, and law and economics, such as the Academy of Management Journal, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, European Economic Review, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of International Business Studies, andStrategic Entrepreneurship Journal. Her work has been cited over 4,000 times according to Google Scholar. She is a Co-Editor of Venture Capital: An International Journal of Managerial Finance (2021-current) and an Associate Editor of the British Journal of Management (2016-current). Dr. Johan has published 6 academic books, including Crowdfunding: Fundamental Cases, Facts, and Insights (Elsevier Academic Press, 2019)., the Oxford Handbook of IPOs (Oxford University Press 2019), and the Oxford Handbook of Hedge Funds (Oxford University Press, 2021). She is also Chair in Entrepreneurial Finance at University of Aberdeen and has been a visiting fellow at the University of New South Wales and the University of Cambridge. She is also a PADI licensed scuba diver.

Robert Reardon is a Ph.D. Candidate studying Business Administration with a concentration in Finance at Florida Atlantic University’s College of Business in Boca Raton. He also earned his B.S. degree in Statistics with an emphasis in Actuarial Science at the University of South Carolina.
Mr. Reardon focuses his research on Investor Behavior, Entrepreneurial Finance, and Microfinance.
