The only program of its kind in South Florida, Florida Atlantic University’s Certified Medical Business Management program (CMBM) program explores the business aspects of medical office environments and the knowledge needed to run a successful medical practice. In partnership with local medical societies (Dade, Broward and Palm Beach), the program has qualified attendees to work in medical and health offices or pursue a business career in the healthcare industry for almost a decade.

Florida Atlantic University’s Certified Medical Business Management program(CMBM) is a three-module, comprehensive, specialized business program for medical industry professional which focuses on the skills, tools and characteristics needed to manage a successful medical business or practice.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS

To be certified as a Medical Business Manager by Florida Atlantic University, students must complete all 3 modules in the program; however, the modules are not lock-step and do not need to be completed in any particular order.

Julie Delongy, Practice Manager has over twenty years of experience in the medical field as a practice manager for a group of heart surgeons in the Ft. Lauderdale FL area and owns her own medical billing and coding company.

Julie has been instructing medical courses for over twenty-four years, and for FAU for over five years. Her expertise lies in anatomy and physiology, medical terminology and all aspects of medical insurance and coding.
