Long Liu

Associate Professor, Economics

Long Liu received his Ph.D. from Syracuse University in 2008. Prior to arriving at FAU, he was an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Professor Liu's main area of research includes panel data, but he is also interested in time series and spatial regressions. His publications have appeared in Advances in Econometrics, Applied Economics, Econometric Journal, Econometric Reviews, Economics Letters, International Journal of Forecasting, Journal of Applied Econometrics, Journal of Forecasting, Spatial Economic Analysis, Statistical Papers, and Statistics and Probability Letters. Recently, Professor Liu co-authored a book -- "High Dimensional Econometrics and Identification" -- that provides cutting-edge, theoretical results on high dimensional panel data.
