Soyoung Park

Assistant Professor, Hospitality and Tourism Management

Soyoung Park joins FAU as an Assistant Professor in the Hospitality and Tourism Management Program at the College of Business. She received her Ph.D. from the Department of Recreation, Park, and Tourism Management at the Pennsylvania State University with a graduate minor in Social Data Analytics. Her main research area includes social issues in tourism involving children and minorities and destination image management, using unconventional data and methods. Park considers herself an idealist and mission-driven computational social scientist. When teaching, Park provides evidence-based practices, promotes numeracy, and includes current issues. She is also an avid traveler, Lego-lover, and foodie.
