MBA and Specialized Master’s Degrees
Florida Atlantic Executive Education offers dual degree programs that allow enrolled and qualified Executive Graduate students to broaden their expertise by earning a Master of Business Administration and an approved specialized Masters-degree within our Executive Education portfolio*. Through these programs, students complete shared graduate credits that count toward both degrees, enhancing their knowledge, skillset, and professional network.

Dual-degrees can be completed online or on-campus and may be completed in a full-time or part-time capacity. Students will be supported in provision/ design of a personalized program schedule to meet their professional, personal and education needs as they are concurrently enrolled in their dual degree. REQUIREMENTS
Eligibility to complete a dual degree is outlined in the following policy per the guidelines set by the FAU College of Business and FAU Graduate College. For more information, please reach out to our team to discuss how to begin your dual degree journey.
- Students who decide to enroll in two College of Business (COB) graduate degree programs at the same time should first consult their program advisor to pursue the dual degrees.
- If a student intends to complete an MBA program simultaneously with another 30-credit hour degree program, the minimum total credit hours required would be 61.
- Elective courses within the MBA program will not be required for students who are pursuing dual degrees.
- FAU regulations state that each Master’s degree requires a minimum of 30 graduate credit hours.
- Therefore, if a student is enrolled in two graduate programs, each requiring a minimum of 30 credit hours, the minimum required credit hours for both degrees will total 60 credits.
- Graduate business foundation courses cannot substitute for CORE or ELECTIVE course requirements.
- Students pursuing a dual graduate degree must complete unique courses toward each degree.
- The student must graduate with the two degrees at the same time.
- All graduate-level students at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 in each degree program to remain in good academic standing and to graduate successfully.
NOTE: Second Master’s Degree
- A student who has completed any Master’s or PhD degree and subsequently returns to pursue a second Master’s degree will be classified as a second-degree seeking student.
- The student may complete the minimum of 30 credit hours for a Master’s degree; however, they must also satisfy all curriculum course requirements to fulfill the degree program.
- There may be instances where the student must complete more than 30 credit hours.
