Tim Martin is the President and CEO of Tropical Shipping. He has responsibility for Tropical Shipping and subsidiaries (i.e., Caribtrans, VI Cargo, Deluxe Freight, and Seven Seas Insurance Co.). Tropical Shipping is the international transportation unit of Saltchuk Resources, a Washington-based family of transportation companies. Mr. Martin has been in the transportation industry for more than 30 years.

Deputy Director
PortMiami

Deputy Wong oversees PortMiami’s Cruise and Cargo Operations, Vessel Berthing Office, Housekeeping, and Facilities Maintenance, which includes passenger loading bridges and the gantry crews. His purview also includes Port Permits, Safety and Security, to include the Miami-Dade Police Sheriff Department, and PD’s Marine Patrol. He also serves as the Chairman of the Crane Management Board which is responsible for PortMiami’s STS Cranes. He is also integrally involved with the port’s major initiatives to include the cargo terminal’s e-RTG’s (Electric Rubber Tired Gantry’s), wharf strengthening and electrification, yard densification, and future cruise shore-power efforts.

Dr. Carnovale is a supply chain strategist specializing in interfirm networks, risk management and global sourcing/production networks with a specific focus on equity-based partnerships. He is Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management, and an Associate Editor at the Journal of Supply Chain Management. His research has appeared in the Journal of Supply Chain Management, the Journal of Business Logistics, the Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management, the Journal of International Business Studies, the International Journal of Production Economics, the European Journal of Operational Research and Annals of Operations Research among others.
