Certified Internal Auditor (CIA®) - Program Requirements

To be eligible for the Certified Internal Auditor program:

  1. Participants should be familiar with financial and accounting terminology and practices
  2. A background in auditing, accounting or finance is strongly preferred, but not required.

To be eligible for CIA® certification, participants must meet the requirements specified by the Institute of Internal Auditors:

  1. Education
  2. Experience
  3. Professional Conduct
  4. Examination
