Degree Requirement
Students applying to the Master of Health Administration (MHA) program are required to either have a bachelor’s degree or be in progress toward completing a bachelor’s degree prior to the term in which they wish to begin the program. The bachelor’s degree can be in any field of study and must be earned from a regionally accredited institution of higher education in the United States or its international equivalent. The degree requirement is met by providing an official transcript to the Graduate College bearing the statement and date of degree conferral. Students who hold an advanced degree should also have their official transcripts sent to the Graduate College.
Students who have received their bachelor’s and/or advanced degree(s) from an academic institution located outside the United States are required to provide an official transcript evaluation. The degree requirement is met if and only if the official transcript evaluation contains a statement equating their credentials to a U.S. bachelor’s degree earned at a regionally accredited institution.
Grade Point Average (GPA) Minimum Requirement
An upper division bachelor’s degree Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher is one of the elements evaluated to determine admission to the MHA program. The last 60 credits of coursework (upper division) documented on an applicant’s official transcript are evaluated to determine the GPA.
