Tariffs, Turbulence, and Trade:
Global Sourcing and the Dynamics of Global Trade
Monday, March 2, 2026
6:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Florida Atlantic University Boca Raton Campus (Executive Education Schmidt Family Complex) and Live Virtual

Join Florida Atlantic Executive Education, the Master of Science in Supply Chain Management program, and Tropical Shipping for an exclusive discussion featuring:
  • Tim Martin | President and CEO, Tropical Shipping
  • Peter Quinter, JD | Partner, Gunster Law
  • Nathan Young | Senior Director, Global Sourcing – Visa Latin America
  • Moderator: Steven Carnovale, PhD | Florida Atlantic Professor and Program Director
Global supply chains, more expansive than ever, are facing some of the strongest headwinds in recent memory. The balance of power globally is (and has been) shifting, the rules of international trade have been upended by tariffs, and regional economic conflicts have tightened the supply of several goods. These shifting dynamics lead to a fierce competition for sourcing goods at the lowest cost, and securing resources by whatever means (legally) possible. This environment creates tension, and supply chain professionals need to understand how to plan and operate in this environment in order to navigate these persistent challenges, and make strategically sound decisions.

This panel will address the following key questions:
  • What does the shifting landscape look like for global sourcing?
  • With an ever-changing tariff rate environment, how should/can supply chain professionals make decisions?
  • What might the next 12 months look like for global sourcing/trade?
