Summer, Semester and Year Programs
Through experiencing a different culture and earning academic credit, students enhance their personal, professional and academic résumé—demonstrating that they have the intercultural competence and versatility needed to compete in today’s global workforce. Most programs have coursework taught in English, though there are many programs available to students looking to learn a new language or practice one they are learning.
Students are registered and pay tuition at FAU, but are enrolled in courses at a partner institution abroad. All courses are pre-approved by FAU; tuition and fees are waived at the host institution. Space on exchange programs is limited- spots do fill, so apply early!
Direct Enroll Programs
Students directly enroll as an international student at one of FAU’s partner institutions abroad; tuition is paid directly to the host institution and students receive FAU transfer credit for pre-approved courses upon successful completion.
Students interested in participating on an Education Abroad program should review the information using the links listed above. Program flyers for all Exchange and Direct Enroll programs specifying program and application related information should be reviewed in detail. Any questions related to Education Abroad programming or activities should be directed to the Education Abroad Office after reviewing the program flyers. http://www.fau.edu/goabroad/Contact_Us.php
Once an Education Abroad program has been identified and the Education Abroad Office has confirmed space is available for the term you plan to go abroad, current College of Business students should schedule an appointment with Suzy Schmieder for study abroad course approvals via the Success Network for a Monday, Wednesday or Friday.
Important Note: Arrangements for study abroad take time, the ideal time to study abroad taking Business Core or Major courses is your junior year, just after your declare your major.
