The only program of its kind in South Florida, Florida Atlantic University's Certificate in Medical Business Manager program (CMBM) program explores the business aspects of medical office environments and the knowledge needed to run a successful medical practice. In partnership with local medical societies (Dade, Broward and Palm Beach), the program has qualified attendees to work in medical and health offices or pursue a business career in the healthcare industry for almost a decade.

CURRICULUM DESCRIPTION
Program Objectives
FAU’s Certificate in Medical Business Management Operations module will provide healthcare leaders with a toolbox of essential information to streamline a healthcare organization’s workflow, billing processes, revenue opportunities, expenses, and vision. Learn the necessary skills to effectively manage a healthcare organization.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Individuals with a minimum of 1 year work experience in the healthcare field
- Individuals who are already working within the medical industry and are seeking to manage their medical office more proficiently
- Medical office managers

- Billing and coding professionals

Materials are included in Program tuition.
To be certified as a Medical Business Manager by Florida Atlantic University, students must complete all 3 modules in the program; however, the modules are not lock-step and do not need to be completed in any particular order. Attendance is required and will be recorded.
