Professional Master of Science in Business Analytics
FAU’s Professional Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) provides graduates with a business perspective on emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), as drivers of innovation. Students gain expertise and in-demand skills for deciphering relevant data, analyzing it to uncover trends and recognize patterns, translating the analysis into valuable insights about performance and processes, and using it to make informed strategic decisions across industries.
Why Earn a Professional Master's in Business Analytics?
The Professional MSBA Degree is a STEM program with emphasis on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and social media analytics, along with advanced domain-specific topics, such as healthcare analytics, financial analytics, marketing analytics, sports analytics, and hospitality. Graduates earning a Master’s in Business Analytics are equipped to meet market demands for highly skilled Business Analytics professionals able to manage a wide range of information systems and processes, as well as to analyze, interpret, and make data-based business recommendations and decisions.
- The MSBA program is a STEM Designated Degree program (CIP Code 30.7102) as determined by Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on their list of STEM Eligible Majors for STEM OPT or a STEM OPT extension.
- The MSBA F-1 student is eligible to apply for a 24-month extension of their post-completion OPT, making it a full 36 months of OPT with students able to stay and work in the United States.

Learning Methodology
A variety of learning methods are employed throughout the program. Case studies, computer simulations of challenging, competitive business situations, problem-solving discussions, team presentations, individual study, lectures, visual presentations, guest speakers, and assigned readings are regularly used. Students also complete research and analytical studies to develop strategic thinking abilities.
On-Campus Program Information
- Courses are every Monday and Wednesday at the Boca Raton Campus, 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM
- Students may attend live virtual during class hours
- 10 courses (no business pre-requisites required / 30 credit hours
- Program starts Spring (January) and Fall (August) of each year
- Program Fees:
- $27,000
- $900 per credit hour
- Program fees are the same for Florida Residents, Out-of-State Residents & International Students

Online Program Information
- Courses are held fully online, with no residency commitment
- 10 courses (no business pre-requisites required / 30 credit hours
- 8-week terms, Completely Online
