New Hybrid Format: Students May Attend Courses In-person or Live Online
FAU’s Executive Ph.D. in Business program welcomes our inaugural cohort of 22 men
and women who bring with them over 150 years of combined professional experience.
Their expertise extends across a variety of industries: finance, banking, international
investments, and accounting, medicine and healthcare, marketing, management and operations,
higher education, as well as public administration.
This impressive first class includes CEOs, CFOs, Vice Presidents, senior-level executives,
published authors, entrepreneurs, and an MD.
Jeffrey Weiss, MD, former Chief of Retinal Surgery at Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston,
faculty of Harvard Medical School, and visiting scientist at MIT explains his desire
to pursue a second doctoral degree with the Executive Ph.D. in Business Administration.
Lotta Collard, CEO of Key Performance, shares about her background from growing up
in Sweden to relocating to the U.S., where she started her family and her business.
Chris Hasse is one of the cohort’s out-of-town travelers from Jacksonville, Florida
where he is the Mayo Clinic Associate Administrator.
Kevin Allen, CEO as well as one of the creators of emotional intelligent business
simulation games, E. I. Games, and author of Wall Street Journal best seller, The
Hidden Agenda: A Proven Way to Win Business and Create a Following, discusses his
career, his passions and his decision to come to FAU for his doctoral studies.
The welcome reception, hosted in FAU’s College of Business’ Sean Stein Pavilion, includes
faculty representing each business department who meet with the incoming students.
FAU’s College of Business Dean Daniel Gropper welcomes this first class of students
