This fall, the Phil Smith Center for Free-Enterprise welcomed two guest speakers to draw attention to aspects of business often swept under the rug. Terms typically limited to news headlines, such as inflation, unemployment, and productivity, became more accessible to College of Business students this semester.
The Florida Atlantic University College of Business’ commitment to developing entrepreneurial talent is once again recognized in annual rankings of the best programs for entrepreneurship studies by The Princeton Review and Entrepreneur magazine.
Siri Terjesen, Ph.D., an associate dean in Florida Atlantic University’s College of Business, was awarded top honors for a paper published in a leading management policy journal.
Florida Atlantic University has named Andrew Garrison as the new director of the Phil Smith Center for Free Enterprise in the College of Business. Garrison, an adjunct professor, graduated from FAU’s College of Business with a master’s degree in economics in 2021 and a bachelor’s degree in economics in 2020.
The Heritage Foundation recognized Dr. Siri Terjesen, Associate Dean, Research & External Relations at the Florida Atlantic University College of Business as one of the inaugural 12 Freedom and Opportunity Academic Prize recipients.
