Ideal Candidate

Who Should Apply

We are seeking exceptional MBA students (of all tenures, but preferably finishing their first year) who aspire to make a profound impact in their organizations and communities through transformational leadership.

How to Apply

The Fellowship Selection Committee seeks candidates who exhibit strong potential for transformative leadership and dedication to positive change. Our selection committee evaluates applicants based on:

  • Outstanding academic achievement
  • Leadership capacity and growth potential
  • Commitment to personal growth and vocational excellence

Ideal candidates will demonstrate a capacity to engage in a rigorous program of study and practice. They will exhibit the potential to achieve positions of influence across diverse business sectors. Applicants must be able to accommodate the schedule and commit to the full program.

Requirements

    1. Application form, completed below
    2. Current resume
    3. Academic transcripts
      • Official Undergraduate Transcript
      • Unofficial Graduate Transcript thus far in program
    4. Two letters of recommendation
    5. Two essay questions

The essay questions are designed to assist the Selection Committee in understanding the applicant's character, desire to join the Adler Fellowship, aspirations, and values. Due to the importance of these questions, students are strongly encouraged to carefully prepare for and completely answer the essay portion.

      • Essay Question One: Our fellowship seeks individuals who are prepared to pioneer and model a transformational approach to business leadership. What specific aspects of the Adler Fellowship program resonate most deeply with your aspirations as a future business leader? Drawing from your past experiences and future goals, explain how you would contribute to the flourishing of our community of Fellows while maximizing this unique opportunity for personal growth.
      • Essay Question Two: Excellence in any field comes from cultivating a good leadership character through study, practice, and habit -- rather than simply following rules, or maximizing personal outcomes. Describe a situation where you've succeeded in aligning your leadership skills with your values and exercised those skills for the good of your organization. What did this experience teach you about the relationship between individual character development and organizational success?

Please submit your application well in advance of the deadline. Exceptional applicants may receive acceptance notices as soon as one-week post-submission.
