Scholarship Name Eligibility Requirements

Barbara L. and Harrison Newman Scholarship
(Fall scholarship) 

This scholarship is awarded to full time students with financial
need who are in their fifth year of studies in the College of Business School of Accounting. 

FICPA Broward Chapter Scholarship
(Fall scholarship) 

 

Live or work in Broward County, must be a junior or above
as an accounting major, selection based on academic achievement with consideration for extracurricular activities,
including employment or service in the accounting profession. 

Ken P. Hoffman Memorial Scholarship
(Fall scholarship)

 

Minimum 3.0 Overall GPA. In Junior year or above in accounting major. Full-time student. Must be a member of the Accounting Students Association (ASA).

  • Preference given to ASA Officers.

MSL CPAs and Advisors Scholarship

(Spring scholarship)

  • Awarded to a Junior, Senior or 5th year accounting student.
  • Overall Accounting GPA of a 3.0 or higher
  • If selected for the scholarhsip, the recipient is expected to meet with MSL for a tour of their Fort Lauderdale office

Paul Zelenkofske Accounting Scholarship
(Fall scholarship) 

 

In the 3rd, 4th, or 5th year of accounting degree. Preference given to non-traditional older students who are working to support themselves. Must have unmet financial need as determined by the FAU Office of Student Financial Aid. 

School of Accounting: Accounting Scholars Program (ASP)

Kickoff Scholarship 

(Fall scholarship)

Scholarship NOT active yet due to event being virtual. Accounting students will receive an email when scholarship becomes active.

  • Students applying for this scholarship must be an undergraduate student in good standing in ASP
  • Minimum GPA 3.0 overall 
  • Must be enrolled full time or in final semester of degree
  • Must have successfully completed at least two accounting/tax honors compacts
  • Required to attend the SOA Kickoff rehearsal 

School of Accounting: Kickoff Scholarship (non ASP students)

(Fall scholarship)

Scholarship NOT active yet due to event being virtual. Accounting students will receive an email when scholarship becomes active.

  • Students applying for this scholarship must be an undergraduate or graduate student
  • Minimum GPA 3.25 overall 
  • Must be enrolled full time (9 credits for graduate school/12 credits for undergraduate)
  • Not enrolled as an Accounting Scholar Program student
  • Must have successfully completed ACG3131
  • Required to attend the SOA Kickoff event virtually

Shaun and Tanya Davis Scholarship
(Fall scholarship)

Awarded to a female African American accounting student with an overall 3.0 GPA or higher.

Silverbush Scholarship
(Fall scholarship)

Awarded to accounting students who are juniors with a 3.0 GPA or higher. Students can be part or full time.

South Florida Chapter of Certified Fraud Examiners

(Spring scholarship)

Awarded to applicants pursuing Forensic Accounting with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA or higher. Students need to be at least part time.
