Requirements for the minor include completion of five courses (15 credits) with a
minimum grade of “C.” This minor requires five courses that have not been counted
in any other minor or certificate program within the College of Engineering and Computer
Science.
The minor has two tracks: an Applications track and a Development track. The Applications
track is open to students with no prior programming experience, but who are interested
in learning programming and how to use the tools and algorithms of AI. The Development
track is intended for students proficient in programming who will develop new algorithms
and mechanisms in AI. Students in both tracks are expected to have completed a statistics
course.
