Cyber Security Admissions
Overview of Admissions Requirements
Open to students who satisfy the prerequisites required for each course in the program with a minimum grade of "C." Each track in the program requires 12 credits with minimum grades of "C" in all courses. Students cannot obtain both a certificate and a minor. All course materials are in English. All international students must demonstrate proficiency in English to enter the program.
The certificate is available to degree-seeking students, non-degree students and working professionals. Students pursuing the certificate may apply for it in the college where the track is located upon successful completion of the coursework.
Tuition
The program consists of four undergraduate courses (12 credit hours). The tuition for the program is calculated based on the number of credits taken. Current tuition rates can be found on the FAU Controller’s site or in the FAU Catalog.
How to Apply?
There is no formal application or admission for the certificate program. If you are not currently an FAU student, you must first register as non-degree seeking student to obtain a Z number, and then register for the courses. Click here to register as a non-degree seeking student.
Contact the College of Business Advising Office if you have restrictions in the system when registering for classes. We must ensure that you have sufficient knowledge to waive any prerequisite requirements (see Program Information for more details).
Upon completion of all the requirements (minimum grades of "C" required in all courses taken), you will be awarded the certificate.
Schedule
We offer courses in the program each Fall and Spring semester, so the length of the program depends on how many classes you want to enroll in.
All courses are scheduled in Boca Raton campus. Sometimes courses may be scheduled online or on the Davie campus, but it cannot be guaranteed.
