Traditional MBA - Accounting

The principal objective of the Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) Program is to advance the quality of business management. The MBA program provides advanced management education in an environment that encourages students to extend their leadership capabilities. A Master of Business Administration degree enables students to gain broad managerial skills and to develop specialized expertise in a business discipline that best suits their career aspirations.

Students that pursue a MBA with a specialization in Accounting will focus all program electives toward their area of concentration. Students will have the opportunity to select from graduate level courses in the School of Accounting to fulfill specialization requirements. Students must obtain a “B” grade or better in all elective courses to achieve Accounting Specialization.

The School of Accounting is a professional school of accountancy operating within the State University System, Florida Atlantic University, and the College of Business. Our emphasis is on high-quality teaching balanced with basic and applied research and service to our constituents. We are committed to providing our students, faculty, and staff with opportunities to develop, grow, and be productive in a supportive atmosphere characterized by respect, collegiality, openness, and freedom of expression.

Our mission is to provide a high-quality accounting education to a diverse student group which consists of a geographically dispersed mix of traditional and nontraditional students. Our goal is to help these students become successful professionals in local, national, and global organizations. We will achieve this goal by providing innovative programs and by employing the best faculty that we can to teach and develop our students’ technical, analytical, communication, interpersonal, and lifelong learning skills.
