A group of four executive MBA students drove operational change for a South Florida construction start-up by applying Lean Six Sigma principles.
What started out as a capstone project for an executive MBA class led by Dr. Tres Bishop turned into a soon to be published case study in th Quality Progress from the American Society for Quality, one of the leading practitioner journals.
"Most of the time, you see the surface-level issues, like the process taking too long or messy communication. I thought the team did an excellent job of going beyond that and identifying deeper problems: unclear processes, unclear ownership, and not knowing who owns what and when," Bishop said.
