Financial Academic Programs
The Department of Finance offers programs of study that prepare students for the prevalent careers in financial management, financial analysis, financial advising, and more. Students are required to stay abreast of worldwide current events as they relate to finance and business as a whole. Combining current, real-world business concepts with widely accepted financial theory, Florida Atlantic University prides itself on producing students ready to make immediate contributions in their financial careers.
Which Undergraduate Finance Program Is Right For Me?
Two undergraduate degree programs in Finance are available. In addition, students may elect to Minor in Finance and/or Real Estate.

BBA students complete the requirements of the Department of Finance in addition to the core business courses taken by all majors in the College of Business.
BS students complete all BBA requirements plus six credits of math or statistics courses beyond the calculus and statistics required in the Pre-Business foundation courses (e.g., MAC 2311, MAC 2312, STA 3163, ECO 4421, ECO 4422, ECO 4401, ECO 4402, PHI 2102, etc.).

Which Graduate Program is Right for Me?
The Department of Finance offers graduate programs in finance that will advance students’ professional careers to the next level. We offer a variety of graduate study options depending on your time, educational abilities, and career experience.
Ph.D. with Finance Concentration
The PhD concentration in finance is designed to prepare students for a career in research, teaching, and service at the university level. The program is very selective, and does not admit students every year.
