Introduction to Project Management (In-Class) – Program Requirements


There are no specific requirements to enroll in this course other than an interest in learning more about Project Management.

Participants who successfully complete this program, may consider advancing toward one of the following certifications if eligibility requirements are met. Eligibility for these designations is set forth by The Project Management Institute (PMI)®.

PMI® has set the following PMP® and CAPM® Certification requirements:

  • A four-year degree
  • 36 months leading projects
  • 35 hours of project management education/training or CAPM® Certification                               


  • A high school diploma or an associate’s degree (or global equivalent)
  • 60 months leading projects
  • 35 hours of project management education/training or CAPM® Certification

CAPM® Eligibility Requirements:

Individuals who wish to sit for the Project Management Professional (PMP)® exam are required by the Project Management Institute (PMI)® to have:

  • To be eligible for the CAPM® certification, you need a high school diploma or global equivalent and must meet the educational requirement.
    • Educational Background
      Secondary diploma (high school diploma/global equivalent)
      AND Project Management Education
      23 contact hours of formal education
