Mr. Rudy Molinet earned his Master of Public Health in Healthcare Administration with honors from Columbia University and his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Hunter College, City University of New York, graduating with honors. He brings 37 years of senior health care management and executive experience in operations, marketing and sales, strategic planning, and board development in a variety of healthcare and business settings.

Mr. Molinet is board-certified in Healthcare Management as a Fellow of The American College of Healthcare Executives. He is the recipient of the 2021 Regents Award from ACHE and is active in the South Florida Chapter. He is the recipient of the Voice for Equality Award from Equality Florida, Florida’s largest LGBT+ human rights organization.

Mr. Molinet serves as an Adjunct Professor at Florida Atlantic University, College of Business, Executive Programs, where he teaches leadership, marketing, and strategy to Executive MHA and Executive MBA students. He is an effective leader, business consultant, and Executive Coach. Rudy serves as the Vice Chairperson of the Board at Holy Cross Health, Vice Chair of the Wilton Manors Planning & Zoning Board, and is Past-President of the Board of Directors of Health Crisis Network in Miami, Florida; Past-President of the Rotary Club of Key West and has served on a number of non-profit boards.

Mr. Molinet is a graduate of Leadership Miami and has received several awards for his advocacy and work in equality, healthcare access, social justice, and children's issues. He is a licensed real estate broker who sold his successful real estate business in Key West Florida in 2014.

Mr. Molinet is married to his husband Jeff Shearer, a psychotherapist in private practice. They live in Wilton Manors, FL and have two adult sons Aidan and Ian.

Sybil Alfred brings an intuitive transformational leadership to her role as Director of Executive Education. Her unique perspective and comprehensive knowledge of every facet of our programs is built on her experience of serving at almost every level in FAU’s College of Business— from filing paperwork as an undergraduate assistant to working with graduate students as a program coordinator, then assistant director to her current position.

She is also an FAU Double-owl, earning her Bachelor’s in Business Administration in 2003 and her MBA in 2014.

Today, Sybil oversees and manages the operations of Executive Education, the fastest growing unit of the University that has grown from five staff members in 2007 to over 50 staff members with over 100 faculty serving over 2000 working professional students enrolled in programs across multiple colleges. Even as the programs continue to grow, Sybil maintains close communication with her teams, sharing both her vision and the strategies needed to bring it to fruition with every staff member across every level to let each know the valuable role they play in the success.

She is also known for her ability to “make magic happen!” When intricate problems arise requiring resolutions and sometimes, complex negotiating, Sybil is often sought out for her insight. Sybil’s presence at the table elicits genuine respect and inspires collaboration. With out-of-the box suggestions and strategies, she is able to make possible what at first glance had seemed impossible.

Sybil credits her tenacity, work ethic and kindness to traits learned from her mother growing up in Haiti. Her insight and ability to lead and inspire is widely recognized as integral to the close-knit Executive Education family and the well-known “secret” to our success.

Jonathan Beskin is a serial entrepreneur, digital adverstising expert and investor. Beskin and his businesses have been featured in Fast Company, Inc., Business Insider, The TODAY Show, Cosmopolitan, Mashable, InStyle, Marie Claire and more. Beskin shares his entrepreneurial journey on TikTok, where he currently has over 40k followers. Beskin holds a BS in Finance from Florida State University and an MBA from Florida Atlantic University.

Beskin founded SinglesSwag, a monthly subscription box for single women in May 2016 with less than 50 subscribers in the US and has grown the company to more than 280,000 subscribers (currently ships 40,000 boxes a month to more than 30 countries), over 1.3 million verified Instagram and Facebook followers and $50 million+ in revenue in five years. SinglesSwag was been included twice on the prestigious Inc. 5000 list of the fastest growing companies in America including in the top 200 (#181) in 2020 and (#1829) in 2021. SinglesSwag has also been ranked in the Top 10 (#9) by Inc. Magazine of the fastest growing companies in Florida. Beskin acquired subscription service Paradise Delivered in 2020 and has scaled the business from 20 monthly subscribers to currently over 10,000 monthly shipments and over $2 million in annual revenue. Beskin also founded Mollie Jacob, an all-natural cosmetics brand with national distribution and the jewelry brand, Violet Harper.

Linda Morgenstern is an incurable matchmaker. She even introduced her step-son to his wife. As Vice President, Brand Management at the Beanstalk agency for 11 years, she continues to guide Fortune 500 companies to find ideal partners to extend their well-known brands into new products. Her recent clients have been Energizer, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, TGIFridays and Shell.

Prior to Beanstalk, Linda was EVP at Nancy Bailey & Associates, a boutique brand licensing agency where she managed such clients as USA TODAY, Coppertone and Travelocity. In 1997 she started the brand licensing division of Jarden, extending its Sunbeam, Coleman and First Alert brands into dozens of strategic categories. Earlier in her career she was an audio and video producer who started the Sony Wonder label featuring Sesame Street and Nickelodeon videos, as well as innovating children’s music with the platinum-selling Chipmunks in Low Places album featuring duets with Billy Ray Cyrus. She has produced over 100 audiobooks at Random House and Harper Audio, narrated by celebrities including Dustin Hoffman and Glenn Close. Her “The Words of Gandhi” audiobook, narrated by Ben Kingsley, earned her a Grammy Award as producer.

She received her BA in English from Brooklyn College, her home town, and her MBA from Florida Atlantic University in 2001. She enjoys yoga, bicycling and Pilates, is an avid reader and theater/movie-goer, with the Living Room Theater being her favorite. She is married to her inventor husband Bob Robbins and lives in Boca Raton, her new home town.


 

Matt Pawlowski

Executive Director, Business Management and Regulatory Affairs, NextEra Energy Resources, LLC

Matt is the Executive Director of Business Management and Regulatory Affairs at NextEra Energy Resources, LLC, a NextEra Energy company. As part of that role, Matt is responsible for the interconnection of renewable generating assets throughout the United States and Canada including the Midwest ISO and Southwest Power Pool (SPP) areas where he is in charge of managing the NextEra Energy Resources regulatory relationship.

This includes working with local electric utilities, Independent System Operators and Regional Transmission Organization on the evaluation of system impacts related to the interconnection of new generation, negotiation of impact costs, policy changes and resolution of other related issues.

In previous roles at NextEra Energy, Matt was responsible for developing strategic opportunities at Florida Power and Light Company (FPL) to increase the company’s wholesale and retail businesses. Among other projects, in 2018 Matt led the acquisition team to purchase the City of Vero Beach electric customer accounts and facilities for approximately $185MM and integrate them into FPL’s systems, the first demunicipalization in the United States since the early 1990s.

Prior to that, Matt was responsible for various finance, business management and asset optimization, development and regulatory affairs initiatives at both FPL and NextEra Energy Resources. He also led the wholesale transmission group where he was responsible for the administration of FPL’s Open Access Transmission Tariff and Quality/Six Sigma initiatives within the FPL Transmission and Substation area.

Matt holds a B.S. degree in public accounting, minor in legal and ethical studies and an interdisciplinary specialization in international business from Fordham University in Bronx, NY. He also holds an Executive MBA in finance from Florida Atlantic University in December 2017. Matt is also a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.

Matt serves on the SPP Finance Committee as well as the SPP Electric Storage Resource Steering Committee. Matt also serves on the Board of Directors for Florence Fuller Child Development Centers as the Vice President of Strategic Planning. He is an Emerging Leader on the Palm Beach County Economic Development Council and is an Executive Officer of the Palm Beach County Criminal Justice Commission serving as the Treasurer.

Prior to joining the NextEra Energy, Matt worked in various finance and enterprise risk management roles at Motorola, Lennar and AOL Time Warner.


 

Jeri Muoio

Former Mayor, West Palm Beach

Dr. Jeri Muoio, the former mayor of West Palm Beach, was first elected mayor in 2011 and then reelected in 2015. Previously, Muoio served on the West Palm Beach City Commission for four years. During her administration, Mayor Muoio presided over an economic resurgence in the city. Her focus on strengthening the economy led to hundreds of new jobs in West Palm Beach.

Under her leadership, business tax receipts increased by 61%, property values increased by 45% and job growth rose 20%, more than double the national average. She created the Flagler Financial District, now home to more than 250 financial services companies.

During her tenure as Mayor, Muoio focused on making West Palm Beach a great place for employees to work, believing that employees who are proud of where they work better serve the community. Through a partnership with the Great Place to Work Organization, Muoio worked to build a work culture based on trust.

Prior to moving to Florida, Dr. Muoio served as Assistant Superintendent in both the Chappaqua School District and the Fayetteville-Manlius School District and as Director of Special Education in the Mexico School District and the Liverpool School District.  Dr. Muoio began her work in schools as a school psychologist.

Dr. Muoio is currently President and CEO of Great Cities for All, a business focused on building great work cultures, developing leaders within organizations, and government and community engagement.

Muoio has studied, practiced and taught the importance of leadership. She is an experienced presenter and facilitator.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from SUNY Geneseo, a Master’s Degree and Certificate of Advanced Study from SUNY Oswego, and a Ph.D. from Syracuse University.

Amy Rosen has more than 25 years’ experience running the marketing departments of several national corporations. She began her current position in 2016 and prior to that was lead account strategist working with People’s Trust for a contract communications firm. She is a guest speaker for the FAU College of Business and participates in the university’s mentor program.

"I've been very fortunate to have had meaningful guidance throughout my education and career, so it’s truly a pleasure to be able to give back by serving on the Dean’s Advisory Board,” Rosen said. “I look forward to providing input that may help to inspire innovation and instill professional confidence in the students at FAU."


 

Mae Basiratmand

Mae Basiratmand stems from a dynamic background, as she is a registered nurse and Marketing Manager at Florida Atlantic University Executive Education. In this role, she spearheads cross-channel strategies ranging from website optimization, print, paid media, corporate communication, video content, events, to billboards. In addition, she is an adjunct professor who teaches Digital Marketing and Social Media to undergraduates, immersing them in real-world scenarios and arming them with practical skills.

In her role, she manages the CRM, leads strategic planning, and is the principal with all agency and advertising partners. As well, she has been a frequent guest for multiple lectures on various topics ranging from social media management to professional development for MBA and Executive Master of Health Administration students.

With clinical expertise in mental health, she has harnessed her understanding of science to bring a clinical perspective to formulating insights for marketing campaigns. Previously, she has worked with pharmaceutical clients such as AstraZeneca, Actavis, Forest Laboratories, and Pfizer, at DigitasLBi and Galderma at FCB Health New York. She was a key player on an award-winning unbranded campaign for disease-state awareness for AstraZeneca, part of a groundbreaking social media campaign which ultimately brought home the Cannes Lions Pharma Grand Prix award for “Integrated Digital Campaign” as well as a Silver Lion for “Direct and Promo Activation.” She has worked in integrated marketing for various millennial-targeted campaigns, where she participated in fueling ideas for immersive events including partnership programs for the annual MTV Movie Awards. Prior, she assisted the public relations team at Hearst Magazines, participating in events and managing media for multiple publications, including Cosmopolitan, O the Oprah Magazine, Esquire, and Seventeen.

Mae is currently working on her first fiction novel. She is a registered nurse in New York, Florida, and California. She received her Bachelors in Nursing from the University of Florida and her Masters in Strategic Communication from Columbia University.

Shareholder and U.S. Customs and International Trade Law Group Chair Peter Quinter practices in the Miami, Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale law firm offices of GrayRobinson. Peter principally represents individuals and companies involved in international trade and transportation, including litigation in the federal courts located in Florida and the U.S. Court of International Trade in New York. Florida Bar Board Certified in international law, Peter was appointed by The Florida Bar to the International Law Certification Committee.

Peter has received recognition for his experience and leadership by several reputable sources. Peter is recognized by Florida Trend in its “Florida 500: Florida's Most Influential Business Leaders” as well as among its "Legal Elite" in the area of international law. Peter has been ranked both globally and nationwide in Chambers USA for International Trade: Customs. The U.S. Secretary of Commerce appointed Peter to the Florida District Export Council because of his knowledge of and experience in international trade. Florida Super Lawyers magazine included him in the top 5 percent in Florida, and he was recognized in The Best Lawyers in America in the area of FDA law.

Peter served as legal counsel at the Southeast Regional Headquarters of the U.S. Customs Service (now known as U.S. Customs and Border Protection) in Miami, Florida. Responsibilities included providing legal advice and representation to management of customs on all matters involving the administration and enforcement of the customs and international trade laws. He provided legal advice on virtually all U.S. Customs activities undertaken by its enforcement, commercial operations, fines, penalties and forfeitures, and regulatory audit personnel. Peter assisted the U.S. Department of Justice in civil and criminal prosecutions on various customs violations, including commercial fraud, trade embargoes, and export controls.

Peter holds a B.S. from Cornell University and received his J.D. at Washington College of Law at The American University.

Lauren Cochran is entering her ninth season with the Miami HEAT. As the Chief of Digital Marketing, Cochran oversees digital marketing and strategy for the Miami HEAT by leading a talented team that turns data into dollars. Cochran is responsible for Miami HEAT's digital properties including social media, paid media, email marketing, web, mobile app, e-commerce and eSports.

Under her leadership, the HEAT Social Media Department is a consistent leader in social media engagement and growth with over 25 million followers, has had record breaking sales on the HEAT online retail store and successfully launched a paid media strategy reaping big returns on retail, branded content, and ticket sales.

Prior to joining the Miami HEAT, Cochran served as the Director of Digital Media for the Philadelphia Flyers for seven seasons overseeing their digital properties that included the website, email marketing, mobile marketing and social media.

Liz Molina joined Chase in 2005 as a branch manager. Prior to joining Chase, Liz held numerous roles such as teller, banker and sales manager. She started her career at Chase in Queens, NY and managed a number of different branches prior to being promoted to District Manager in 2011. In 2015, Liz became the Market Director for the Bronx West Market which is comprised of 24 branches with an average of 250 employees. Liz then transitioned to the CT South Market. She is a multi-year National Achiever.

Liz was promoted to Managing Director / Regional Director-Banking for the North Texas-Austin Region in 2020 and lives in Plano, TX with her husband.

She believes in the power of leading teams to success and is passionate about Diversity, Inclusion and overall culture initiatives. Liz is also a proud ally and the executive sponsor of PRIDE Texas. Liz is passionate about volunteering and prior to moving to Texas she was treasurer of a non profit organization near and dear to her heart called Step Up for Better Living in the South Bronx that helps individuals prevent home eviction and provides food pantry resources to the community.

In her spare time, Liz enjoys giving back and is passionate about participating in community events such as POTS. Liz loves to travel with her family and has precious nieces and nephews that steal her heart away each day. She loves to cook and bake and share meals with family and friends.

Maria Morales Menendez is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Delray Medical Center. In her role, she manages the daily operations and oversees the development and implementation of long-range plans, goals and objectives for the facility. Prior to her appointment as COO, Maria started at Delray Medical Center as an associate resident in 2019, before being promoted to the position of associate administrator. She led several process improvement and operational initiatives at Delray Medical Center, and for the Palm Beach Health Network.

Morales-Menendez graduated from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky with a degree in Biosystems Engineering. She then went on to earn her Master's in Business Administration with a healthcare specialization from Baylor University in Waco, Texas.


 

Raquel Perez

Raquel Perez is the owner and founder of R Intent, a finance and strategy consulting company helping small businesses. Prior to running her business, Raquel spent 15 years at ViacomCBS (Paramount), most recently as CFO, SVP of Finance for The Americas Division.

In this role, Raquel as member of ViacomCBS Executive team was responsible for providing direction and strategic advice across operations to ensure financial objectives and goals of all divisions in Latin America, Canada, and US Hispanic were met. She oversaw the financial performance of ViacomCBS’ extensive portfolio of brands including MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, and Paramount Channel in Latin America and Canada, Telefe in Argentina, Porta dos Fundos in Brazil, and Tr3s in the U.S. Hispanic Market. She also managed the financials of Viacom International Studios - the 3rd largest content creator in Latin America. During her tenure as CFO, Raquel led the finance integration of Telefe, the #1 FTA channel in Argentina, and the launches of PLUTO TV and Paramount + Streaming services in Latin America.

Prior to ViacomCBS, Raquel started her career at NBCUniversal where she graduated from the General Electric - Finance Management Program. During this time, she had the opportunity to work on several assignments at CNBC, NBC News, and NBC Network Pricing divisions in New York City. After completion of the FMP program in 2004, she joined the Telemundo Finance team in Miami as a Business Manager overseeing Telemundo Network revenue division.

Raquel is from San Juan, Puerto Rico and holds a Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts. She lives in Miami with her husband Armando and their children, Nicolas and Mateo.


 

Sandra Severe

Marie Sandra Severe, Ph.D., MPH is the Chief Operating Officer at Jackson Memorial Hospital, a division of Jackson Health System in Miami, FL. As a member of Jackson Memorial Hospital’s executive team, she oversees the support services division which includes clinical engineering, plant operations, environmental services, food and nutrition services, and patient transport.

During her tenure at Jackson Health System, she has served as Associate Vice President of Operations at Jackson Behavioral Health Hospital and Administrator of Jackson Community Mental Health Center.

Dr. Severe’s career in healthcare began at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital (formerly Miami Children’s Hospital) where she served as the Director of Operations and Operations Manager of Early Steps Southernmost Coast. Early Steps Southernmost Coast is a program that provides early intervention services for children birth through three years of age with special needs for the southern half of Miami-Dade through Monroe Counties.

Dr. Severe earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Spanish from the Newcomb College of Tulane University in New Orleans, LA and a Master of Public Health degree from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. She completed her doctorate in Public Health with a concentration in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention from FIU’s Stempel School of Public Health and Social Work.

She was selected as one of Legacy (formerly Success South Florida) Magazine’s “South Florida’s 2010 40 Under 40 Leaders of Today and Tomorrow.” She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, United Way Young Leaders and Women United, and an avid volunteer for and supporter of various causes throughout the community.

Ms. Vertuno is the Chief Executive Officer at JFK Medical Center – North Campus, East Florida Division (EFD) with HCA Healthcare since November 2020. She provides leadership for medical center and behavioral health pavilion. Focused on rebuilding the culture and strategic position in West Palm Beach service area through shaping the strategic direction, assembling a top performing team, and pivoting the hospital towards long term success.

Continuing with her strategic/growth background she collaborates with her physician partners striving towards remaining an OR of Choice through operational efficiencies, with the teams focus on continuous improvement and maintaining excellence based operations. She was previously the COO at Westside Regional Medical Center, EFD, from October 2017 to October 2020. She had responsibility for overseeing the operations of the facility which included building and opening an $85M, 72 private bed tower in September 2019. While leading EOC during COVID-19 Pandemic, she was successful through partnership with CV surgeons and interventional cardiologists to successfully launch the structural heart program during a time of crisis. She formerly was at Desert Regional Medical Center- Tenet Healthcare, in Palm Springs, CA as Associate Administrator & Service Line Administrator: Orthopedics & Neurosciences. Preceding the move to Palm Springs, CA, Ashley served as Practice Administrator with HCA, MidAmerica Division, in Kansas City, MO.

Ashley’s commitment to improving the healthcare industry and her community across the country is evident in her servant leadership involvement with numerous charitable organizations, having been the Chair for AHA/ASA Heart Walks & March of Dimes Signature Chef Auctions. In 2014, Ms. Vertuno became a recipient of “Top 40 under 40” for business professionals in Palm Springs, CA. In 2015, she was invited to join Leadership Coachella Valley, a unique program developed to mentor a small select group of future community leaders. Members explore issues affecting the Coachella Valley and are encouraged to develop their professional leadership skills, while building relationships that forge positive community change in ways that improve the lives of people across the region.

In addition, Vertuno is an active member for American College of Healthcare Executives, with Fellow status achievement and has facilitated women leadership forums through ACHE & local chapters. She currently serves on ACHEs Editorial Committee, Early Careerist Committee, Council of Regents, Regents Selection Committee and is the ACHE Regent for Florida- Eastern since 2018. Her involvement in numerous professional and civic organizations at the local, regional, and national levels continues to expand her dedication and commitment to the healthcare profession.

Ms. Vertuno holds a Master’s degree in Health Administration from the University of South Carolina; and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management from Virginia Commonwealth University. In addition, she is has a “green belt” in Six Sigma, past participant in Tenet Healthcare Leadership Academy and is a past fellow for the American Hospital Association’s Transformational Leadership Program.

With more than 25 years of Healthcare experience in South Florida, Rene Zipper has established herself in the healthcare consulting and client management field.

Rene Zipper was the founding president of the Miami chapter of the National Association for Female Executives. Rene has served as President for Women’s Healthcare Executive Network. Rene has been active with the South Florida Healthcare Executive Network for the last 12 years, and is a past President. Rene is committed to serve our local healthcare community.

Rene Zipper is the Vice President of Growth for Waystar, a leader in the revenue cycle management space. Rene spent 10 years with Press Ganey and Associates, as the President of New Business & Enterprise Sales and Mid-Market Client Management. Rene has had other leadership roles in the healthcare industry with companies such as Hill-Rom, Johnson and Johnson and General Electric (GE) Medical division.

Rene’s undergraduate degree is in Finance and Marketing from the University of Miami and she has her MBA in Healthcare from Florida International University.

Rene is a published contributing author of a book titled: “Corporate Bold.” Rene also has her Six Sigma Green Belt certification. Rene is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and currently serves as an industry expert for the MHA program at Florida Atlantic University.

Rene lives in Weston, Florida with her husband Adam and Blaze their Miniature Labradoodle. Their 21-year-old son Jacob, is currently attending The Georgia Institute for Technology.

Leah A. Carpenter, FACHE, is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Memorial HealthcareSystem, a public, nonprofit hospital system nationally recognized for providing outstanding patient- and family-centered care.

Ms. Carpenter is an RN and former Chief Nursing Officer with expertise in organizational planning, multimillion-dollar capital projects, contract negotiations and team development. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing and her master’s degree in public administration from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Memorial appointed Ms. Carpenter to her current position in 2021.

Ms. Carpenter has been with Memorial since 2002, first joining the organization as CNO of Memorial Hospital Pembroke. In 2004, she was appointed CNO of Memorial Hospital Miramar, where she played an integral role in the hospital’s design, construction, and 2005 opening. Memorial appointed her CEO of Memorial Hospital Pembroke in 2010, after which she returned to Memorial Hospital Miramar – this time, as CEO – in 2012. Before coming to Memorial, she served as vice president and chief nursing officer at North Shore Medical Center Miami, and held various positions at Saint Barnabus, Beth Israel and St. Clare’s Medical Center in New Jersey.

Ms. Carpenter has received local and national recognition in leadership, patient safety, quality, service excellence and commitment to community. She is active in numerous professional and civic organizations, including Leadership Florida, is a member of the National Association of Healthcare Services Executives and a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Chantal Leconte is currently an Adjunct Professor for the College of Business Graduate program at Florida Atlantic University. Up until her recent retirement, she was the Chief Executive Officer at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, a Memorial Healthcare System pediatric hospital in Hollywood, Florida. Professionally, she has more than 40 years of healthcare experience in various roles from several clinical positions including Nursing Manager to Hospital Chief Executive Officer.

Chantal brings a unique skill set to her leadership and academic role. Her experience offers a great balance of clinical knowledge as an RN and health care administration as a CEO. A balance you do not always find in healthcare executives.

Previously, Chantal has worked as Chief Executive Officer at Memorial Hospital Pembroke, Administrator of Wuesthoff Medical Center-Rockledge, in Central Florida, Chief Operating Officer of Coral Springs Medical Center, operated by Broward Health, in Coral Springs, Florida. In addition, she spent more than 17 years with Cleveland Clinic in various roles from Nursing Manager to Administrator of the Cleveland Clinic Hospital in Florida.

Throughout her career, she has worked to create environments that help people perform at their best. In that spirit, she has rewired her many skills and talent to teaching, enlightening graduate students on how and why to become successful leaders-sharing her expertise and helping others contribute to the future of healthcare.

She is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), is a graduate with honors from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, where she received her MBA. She also holds a bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration from Florida Atlantic University and a Nursing degree from Queensboro Community College in Bayside, New York. She is a graduate of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce Leadership Class VI and the Leadership Broward Foundation Class XIX and has had prior involvement with the Women’s Healthcare Executive Network-South Florida (WHEN), the American Heart Association, the Weston Business Chamber of Commerce-Women Council, the Rockledge Rotary Club, and the City of Rockledge Advisory Board in Central Florida. She served as the Chair of the South Florida Hospital and Healthcare Association Board of Directors. As an alumni, she routinely volunteers as a guest lecturer for the Nova Southeastern University MBA in Complex Health Systems and the Executive and Entrepreneur In Residence programs.

She is the proud mother of two daughters, a judge and a physician assistant; and also a grandmother of four phenomenal kids, one girl and three boys.

Hasan Kajtezovic is a Supply Chain Manager at Arthrex, Inc. During his decade-long tenure with the company, Hasan played a key role in the development of a strategic supplier relationship management program. This capability fosters and promotes supplier flexibility and agility in response to an increasingly demanding marketplace that helps Arthrex release more than 2,000 new products annually. In 2016 Hasan earned his MBA from Florida Gulf Coast University.

In 2017 he co-founded an industry trade group that partnered with FGCU to successfully launch a Supply Chain degree program. In 2019 Hasan was invited to join the FGCU-Lutgert College of Business faculty to help educate and inspire the next generation of Supply Chain leaders. He is a member of the Growing Associates in Naples Class of 2019 and was recognized by Gulfshore Business Magazine as one of ‘40 under 40’ business professionals in 2020. Most recently, he was also awarded the FGCU 2021 Soaring Eagle Award for contributions to the Lutgert College of Business and the local community.

Hasan enjoys being involved in the community and giving back by serving on several boards. In his free time, this Bosnian native enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids.


 

Ramil Cabela

Dr. Ramil is a management practitioner who started his career as a critical care nurse in various New York hospitals. Using his clinical experience, he pivoted into the health insurance industry which led him to land scientific and management roles in the biopharmaceutical industry where he’s been in the last 20 years. He is currently Head of Safety Science Hematology and Cell Therapy at Bristol-Myers Squibb.

With research interests in leadership and innovation, he earned a Doctor of Business Administration degree from the University of South Florida in 2018. He loves to play tennis, swim, sing, play the piano, and travel to new places every year with his wife who is a family medicine physician in NJ. Dr. Ramil is honored to participate in FAU’s MBA Executive Forum panel discussion and the EMHA Leadership Bootcamp this year.

As President of Palm Beach County, Fabiola (Fab) Brumley serves as Bank of America’s local enterprise leader in Palm Beach County. With a goal of delivering one company, she works across the region to connect Bank of America’s business lines to deliver integrated financial services to individuals, families and businesses.

She also leads Bank of America’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) work in the market. Fab is Senior Public Policy Lead for the Southeast at Bank of America covering Florida, Alabama and Mississippi; based in Boca Raton, Florida.

Since beginning her career at Bank of America in 1982, she has served as controller, chief financial officer, commercial lender, client manager, market manager, market executive, region executive and vice chair. Fab has held the position of Palm Beach County president since April of 2007. She is the Chair-elect of the Florida Bankers Association and Chairs its Government Relations Council; is the Chair-elect of the Economic Council of Palm Beach County and co-chairs its Racial Equity Policy sub-committee; is a member and past chair of the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County; is the current Secretary of the United Way of Palm Beach County; and is a member of the iHeart Advisory Board. She has served as member and chair of the governing board of West Boca Raton Medical Center and the Palm Beach Black Business Investment Corporation. She has held board positions with the Gulfstream Boy Scouts of America, the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches and the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce.

She is a member of Bank of America’s Global Diversity & Inclusion Council, co-chairs the Investing in Women’s Council, is co-executive sponsor of the Asian Leadership Network and former executive sponsor of the South Florida Chapter of LGBT+. Prior to joining FAU, Michael J. Thomas enjoyed a thirty-year career at the Allstate Insurance Company. During his time at Allstate, Mike rose from the entry level position of underwriter trainee to Vice President of Product Administration, Marketing, and Exposure Management.

As the first minority male elected officer in the company’s history, Mike was a driving force behind Allstate becoming a publicly traded company in 1993 which at the time was the largest initial public offering in the nation’s history.

Mike’s corporate career is chronicled in his book entitled "From the Street Corner to the Corner Office". His time at FAU is now spent developing and administering the Business Mentor Program.
