Anna Agapova, Associate Professor, Department of Finance, with co-authors have had their paper titled “Earnings Patterns and Managerial Guidance,” accepted for publication in the Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting (AJG3).

Judy Monestime, Instructor, Department of Management Programs, Health Administration, with co-author, have had their paper titled, “Associations between Florida Counties’ COVID-19 Case and Death Rates and Meaningful Use Among Medicaid Providers: Cross-Sectional Ecologic Study,” accepted for publication by PLOS-Digital Health.

Maya Thevenot, Associate Professor in the School of Accounting, with co-authors, have had​ their paper, “Cutting Through Complexity: Segment Disclosure and Pricing Efficiency,” accepted for publication in the Journal of Accounting, Auditing and Finance (ABS 3 and on the SOA Preferred Journals list).


Award Winners

Anna Agapova, Associate Professor, Department of Finance accepted an invitation to join the Editorial Advisory Board of Managerial Finance.

FAU entered an undergraduate team this year into the American College of Healthcare Executives South Florida Annual Case Study Competition which took place on April 9th. Winners were announced at the ACHESF banquet on May 12th and our young competitors won 2nd place! This year’s case examined workplace impacts of COVID in the healthcare environment. Students were charged with identifying novel solutions to issues of workforce burnout, morale, and shortages through an industrial psychology lens. Other teams competing included University of Miami, Florida International University, and Nova Southeastern University.
