Online BBA (OBBA) Admissions Process
Admissions Process
Students must first be admitted to FAU or be a current FAU undergraduate student to meet the requirements to declare an OBBA major. There is no separate application required for admission to the Online BBA program.
New FAU Students
All new FAU students should apply to FAU through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. The admissions office can answer all of your questions about the admission process. All prospective students for online business majors are admitted to FAU as “Pre-Business Online.”

I will start at FAU with 0 – 29 college credits earned.
Once admitted, students will attend orientation and work with University Advising Services on the IFP and pre-business requirements. When in progress to complete all of the requirements to declare a major, students can make an appointment with a College of Business advisor to officially become an OBBA student.
I will start at FAU with 30 or more college credits earned.
The College of Business has a dedicated website that explains the process for transferring
to FAU as a business student. This process is the same for both OBBA students and
on campus students. Learn more about the COB transfer process here.
Please note that it is highly encouraged that students transfer to FAU with a Florida
public Associate in Arts degree and all requirements to declare completed.
I have already earned a bachelor's degree.
Students who already have a bachelor’s degree should immediately make an appointment with a business advisor after being admitted to FAU. Your business advisor will determine what courses from your previous degree can be used towards your second bachelor’s at FAU and review the requirements to declare your OBBA major.
Note: The IFP is not required for second bachelor’s students.
Current FAU Students
If you are a current FAU student, review the requirements to declare an OBBA major, and make an appointment with a business advisor through Success Network to determine if the OBBA program is an option for you.
