Florida Atlantic University's AACSB-accredited College of Business offers the 3rd and 4th year of upper-division (3/4000 numbered) business courses in the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree program as fully online with majors in Accounting, Hospitality & Tourism Management, Management (Leadership option), or Marketing (General option). All lower-division courses and requirements must be completed prior to entering the OBBA program. The Online BBA degree program has the same academic core curriculum and rigor as the Traditional BBA program at FAU and is taught by the same faculty. All upper-division (3XXX or 4XXX numbered) courses are offered online and can be completed in a minimum of 2 years, by transfer students.
The Accounting OBBA Major provides students with a solid educational foundation for entry into professional careers in accounting-related areas of business and government. The program prepares students to pursue advanced education in accounting and related fields. The accounting major is designed to begin with ACG 3131 (Intermediate Accounting Theory 1) and ACG3341 (Cost Accounting), which are primarily offered in the FALL semester. Students desiring to register for ACG 3131 and ACG 3341 must first take the School of Accounting Competency Exam.

The Hospitality & Tourism Management program is offered in 3 formats: Hospitality & Tourism Management OBBA Major, in mixed mode/hybrid format, or face-to-face. Students may choose any format of education they desire. The major and minor both prepare students for management positions in multiple segments of the world's largest industry. Employers include: resorts, hotels, restaurants, private clubs, meeting and event planning corporations, destination marketing organizations (DMOs), convention centers, cruise lines, casinos, theme parks, car rental agencies, sports facilities, spas, entertainment venues, and vacation ownership/fractional ownership resorts.
With a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree as the foundation of this major, students are prepared for the business competencies and skills required in the hospitality industry of the 21st Century. This degree is regularly described as superior to the Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) since all core courses are taken within a college of business. The Management Major attracts high-quality students and prepares them to contribute effectively, to organizations, with the necessary skills to advance in a complex and changing world. Online BBA students specialize in the Leadership and Applied Management Skills option. Students in this Leadership track have opportunities to advance in human resources and other attractive careers.
The Marketing Major prepares students for positions and professional careers in the fields of marketing
and advertising. Marketing provides students with an enduring base of knowledge and
the ability to adopt new marketing practices as they evolve. A variety of marketing
courses are offered, and students can create their own specializations under the popular
(general) Marketing Major.
Applicants may start in any semester.
To graduate with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, all students are required to complete a minimum of 120 credits, complete a minimum of 51 credits of upper-division business courses, maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA, and meet additional University and College of Business requirements.
- Current Online BBA courses charge $60.00 per credit hour ($180.00 per 3hr course) in addition to the university's tuition.
- Books are not included in the cost of tuition.
