Join ASA:
- Any current FAU student is eligible
- One-time $40 initiation fee
- Make professional connections with other ASA members
- Receive your ASA T-Shirt by attending at least one ASA Professional Event
- Receive a blue ASA Member Cord after attending at least three Tuesday night ASA professional accounting speaker events on campus in the same semester
- Receive a red ASA Community Service Cord after attending at least two ASA community service events in the same semester
- Receive a personalized membership certificate
Attend Events:
- ASA events are open to all FAU students
- Explore a variety of accounting careers
- Meet local professionals and employers
- Improve your networking skills
- Enter drawings for giveaways
- Enjoy free food and beverages
- Earn extra credit in some accounting and tax courses
Become an Officer:
- Build your resume with a leadership position
- Gain experience with skills in demand in the workplace
- Receive an ASA officer stole to wear at graduation
- Receive an ASA officer polo shirt to wear at events and to promote ASA
- Be eligible for scholarships given to student organization officers
- Be recognized at the annual School of Accounting Achievement Awards event in April
