Questions about ITOM Minor and Certificate Programs

Q. What is the tuition for the program? How much is the cost of a credit hour for the program?

A. Current tuition rates can be found in the online FAU Catalog under "General Information/Tuition, Fees, and Refunds." Look for a link to the current fee bulletin. Also, you can look here: http://www.fau.edu/controller/student_information/tuition_breakdown.php

 

Q. What is the cost, schedule, and acceptance criteria?

A. There is no criteria for acceptance to the minor except for junior or senior standing. If you are an FAU student, you can register for the courses and contact the ITOM Chair or College of Business Advisor if you have any restrictions in the system. Look for the schedule of courses at https://banner.fau.edu/FAUPdad/lwskdsch.p_dept_schd . If you are not a student, in order to obtain the Certificate, you have to register as non-degree seeking student first to obtain a Z number, and then register for the courses. Contact the Chair of ITOM if you have restrictions in the system. You can register as non-degree seeking by clicking on the following link: http://www.fau.edu/graduate/applyonline/domestic/nondegreeseeking/index.php

 

Q. I am a professional who seeks to obtain the Certificate in Information Security/Certificate in Business Analytics. What do I need to do?

A. In order to obtain the Certificate, you have to register as non-degree seeking student first to obtain a Z number, and then register for the courses. Contact the Chair of ITOM if you have restrictions in the system. You can register as non-degree seeking by clicking on the following link: http://www.fau.edu/graduate/applyonline/domestic/nondegreeseeking/index.php
