Academic Programs
The Economics Department offers undergraduate and graduate programs to prepare students for careers in business and government.
Undergraduate Programs
The Economics Department offers two majors and four minors at the undergraduate level. The major programs prepare students for careers in business and government and graduate study. The minor programs introduce students from other disciplines to important topics in economics. Exceptional students majoring in economics are invited to apply to the honors program.

Majors
General Economics (BS)
The General Economics program provides a broad liberal arts education with emphasis in social science. It leads to a B.S. degree.
Economics with a Business Economics Concentration (BBA/BS)
The Economics with a Business Economics Concentration program has the same diverse foundation in core business principles as other majors in the College, but also integrates economics courses. It leads to a B.B.A. or B.S. degree.
Honors Program
The Honors in the Major Program gives exceptional students the opportunity to achieve academic excellence beyond the level of standard course work by completing honors-level enrichment in Economics. Students must submit an Honors Program Application and be accepted to participate.

Graduate Programs
Master of Science in Economics (MS)
The Master's in Economics program is designed to appeal to both full-time students and working professionals. Most classes are in the evening with a remote (online) attendance option. With some limitations (e.g., certain non-economics business courses are not offered online), it is possible to complete the entire Master’s in Economics program online.
