Registration & Enrollment

Below is a checklist that may be used as you get ready to register for classes.

  1. Attend an orientation (newly admitted students only)
  2. Clear any registration hold(s) that you may have. Holds require some action by you before you can register. Examples are: owing funds to the university, needing transcripts from other schools, academic suspension, immunization, or international student issues. You can review your holds and the departments that placed the holds, by logging into MyFAU. Then contact each department that issued a hold.
  3. Know your advanced registration time ticket by referring to the registration schedule.
  4. Review the schedule of classes. This may be accessed through the MyFAU portal.
  5. Meet with an advisor to review your intended course schedule, declare your major/minor, and clear any potential registration issues.
  6. Register for classes on line though MyFAU self-service. Additional information on registering for classes may be found here.
