Accounting and Auditing Programs
All programs are available for corporate on-site training.
Accounting and auditing are crucial business functions across every industry. Stakeholders depend on accountants to prepare timely and accurate financial reports. Auditors examine these financial documents to ensure accurate representation of a company’s financial position and verify that the accounting procedures comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA®)
The Certified Internal Auditor (CIA®) designation is the only globally accepted certification for internal auditors and remains the standard by which individuals demonstrate their competency and professionalism in the internal auditing field. Florida Atlantic University is proud to offer a comprehensive CIA® preparatory, instructor-led program based on the IIA’s CIA Learning System, in partnership with the IIA and its Palm Beach County Chapter.
Certificate in Financial and Cost Accounting
Cost accounting is used to effectively control operations, particularly when senior management is tracking every dollar! Florida Atlantic University’s Certificate in Financial and Cost Accounting provides participants with all the tools and information to put the best practices of cost accounting to work and educates the non-accountant with the foundations of accounting theory, cost accounting, and best practices.
Certificate in Managerial Accounting
Florida Atlantic University’s Certificate in Managerial Accounting program provides a deeper understanding of financial and managerial accounting, with a focus on the corporate environment. Topics covered include understanding the accounting for corporations, inventories and cost of sales, with a primer on internal controls, accounting for current and long term liabilities, managerial accounting concepts, cost allocation & performance measurement, the budgeting process, and cost - volume profit analysis
Certified Management Accountant Exam Review
Florida Atlantic University’s Certified Management Accountant program is highly practical in its focus on corporate finance and managerial accounting concepts as statistics demonstrate that approximately 80% of accountants end up not practicing public accounting.
