FAU’s Corporate Training and Customized Programs deliver custom-designed executive education programs specifically tailored to fit your organization’s upskilling goals, culture, schedule, and budget.
Our team works closely with our local business community and partners to identify current workforce needs, skills gaps and training opportunities across industries. We build customized curriculums to address specific needs and deliver strategically designed educational programming to increase organizational productivity and innovation. Explores the difference between management and leadership. Covers leadership styles, leadership characteristics and behaviors and situational leadership skills (in detail).
Time Management
Provides strategies to improve personal productivity of both management and non-management employees and provide practical solutions for day-to-day time-absorbing problems. Investigates topics including changing time-wasting habits, effective daily time planning, prioritizing, managing interruptions, handling paperwork and e-mail more efficiently and avoiding procrastination.
Quality Customer Service
Shows participants how to improve the service levels provided to the organization's internal and external customers. Covers improving sensitivity to customers' needs and provides practical solutions for problems confronting employees on a regular basis.
Managing Conflict
Teaches strategies for following a professional approach (as opposed to personal) to conflict resolution. Identifies, discusses and applies conflict resolution techniques. Module covers techniques in dealing with person-to-person conflict across all levels of within the organization.
Change Management
Instructs supervisors and managers about the dynamics of implementing changes and the importance of the communication process as well as on how to deal with resistance to change. Uses case studies to discuss and practice designing an implementation process.
Motivation Skills
Focuses on practical, day-to-day applications of motivational techniques that cost little to no money. Instructs supervisors and managers how to apply these techniques and build them into their daily routines.
Team Building
Identifies and discusses the differences between a group and a functioning team. Covers techniques that supervisors or managers can implement to build a team and outlines benefits of collaboration and empowerment. Uses case studies and group discussions to illustrate teambuilding methods.
Counseling and Effective Discipline
Focuses on incorporating the use of positive discipline rather than punitive discipline and handling reprimands. Uses case studies and role-playing to allow practice in dealing with real-life disciplinary scenarios and situations. Module tailored to the specific policies and procedures of the client.
Performance Management
Discusses methods for performance feedback, performance coaching, ongoing performance communication processes, motivation techniques and formulating action plans. Module incorporates client’s performance appraisal process and forms.

Discusses delegation techniques, what and how to communicate, how to maintain control and how to avoid typical delegation pitfalls such as reverse delegation. Emphasizes managing by results and not by process and the importance of defining expected results before delegating assignments.
Interviewing Skills
Provides effective techniques for interviewing and selecting the right people for the job. Emphasizes advance preparation and designing effective interview questions. Module also covers the laws one must obey when interviewing as well as interviewing questions that must be avoided.
Effective Problem Solving and Decision Making
Provides participants with a step-by-step approach for problem solving. Describes numerous techniques for data analysis; covers the generation, evaluation, and selection of alternatives, determining the criteria to evaluate the alternatives, how best to make decisions.
Leading and Coaching Teams
Examines each individual's role on a team and the impact of collaboration on team effectiveness. Identifies critical leadership skills needed to gain team members' commitment in achieving team mission and prioritizing goals.
Relating to Others - Critical Interpersonal Skills for Leaders
Uses self-assessment and feedback from subordinates to guide participants into a better understanding of their interpersonal skills and the impact of interpersonal needs and associated behaviors and traits. Trains participants to recognize compatibility levels with others and to identify why some relationships are strained while others are complementary. Emphasizes how interpersonal leadership styles and needs impact an organization’s culture.
Ethics and Professionalism
Develops an understanding of values and professionalism as well as the impact of values and a code of conduct in one's "work life." Identifies the importance of the congruence of individual and business core values for personal integrity, decision making, collaborative relationships and conflicts.
