The Florida Atlantic University Six Sigma curriculum is aligned with the recommendations of both the American Society for Quality (ASQ), the International Society of Six Sigma Professionals (ISSSP), and the Ohio State University Center for Operational Excellence, and seamlessly integrates Six Sigma, Project Management, and Lean Enterprise improvement methodologies.

Six Sigma Yellow Belt

Earning the Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification will provide certificants with an introductory understanding of the fundamentals of Six Sigma, its metrics and the basic improvement methodologies, and are eligible to pursue Green Belt certification. Available in a convenient online format.

Six Sigma Green Belt

Earning the Six Sigma Green Belt will prepare certificants to form and facilitate Six Sigma teams and manage basic Six Sigma projects. Six Sigma Green Belts implement tools, techniques, and practices to achieve cost reductions and quality improvement within their organization, and are eligible to pursue Black Belt certification. Available in a variety of formats.

Six Sigma Black Belt

Earning the Six Sigma Black Belt certification will equip certificants to manage advanced Six Sigma projects and to actively lead organization-wide improvement efforts. Black Belts will be able to utilize statistical analysis software to advance organizational cost reduction and quality improvement efforts; be positioned to guide, mentor, and define projects for Green Belts; lead large, complex Six Sigma initiatives; and are eligible to pursue Master Black Belt certification. Available in both blended and online formats.

Six Sigma Master Black Belt

Earning the Six Sigma Master Black Belt will prepare certificants to train, mentor, and coach colleagues and peers involved in Six Sigma projects; raise the level of organizational competency with respect to Six Sigma; develop and conduct Six Sigma training programs; foster an organizational culture of continuous improvement; and be the highest level of technical expertise regarding Six Sigma within an organization. Available in a convenient online format.
