Undergraduate Admission
Applying for Admission to FAU
Welcome future Business Owl!
University admissions are handled by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Please direct any questions that you may have regarding admission to FAU, deadlines, your application status, etc. to that office.
- Incoming Freshmen: After acceptance to the university, you will receive academic advising from University Advising Services until you are ready to transition to COB advising.
- Transfer Students and Second Bachelor's Students: Please visit the College of Business Transfer Students page for a step-by-step guide to transferring to FAU. Except where otherwise noted, all transfer steps apply to second bachelor's students. If you have any trouble scheduling your first advising appointment, please call us at 561-297-3688 and press option 6.
- Non-Degree-Seeking Students: Please visit the registrar's office's website for information on submitting your non-degree application. Please visit our COB registration information page for information on non-degree registration for business courses. Important: Should you decide to become a degree-seeking student, a maximum of 9 credits of coursework taken as non-degree-seeking can be counted towards a degree.
College of Business Requirements for Admission to a Major
Admission to FAU does not guarantee admission to any specific major. All prospective students business majors are admitted to FAU as “Pre-Business.” If you plan to complete your program online, you can also indicate this when you apply.
Click the button below for information about specific requirements to declare a business major. Students who have met these requirements can declare their major during a meeting with a business advisor. (There is no separate admission application to the College of Business.)
