While the flexibility of synchronous and asynchronous learning allows you to learn at your own convenience, it is important to note that there are still structured elements to keep you on track. Each week, there are due dates for assignments to ensure that you progress through each course and meet the learning objectives within a reasonable timeframe. Whether you choose to attend the lectures synchronously or view them asynchronously, the choice is yours, ensuring that your learning experience aligns with your individual schedule and preferences.

Schedule Details

The Executive Master of Taxation (EMTAX) program provides full service and administrative support that allows uninterrupted schedules for busy professionals. To accommodate working professionals during the hectic tax seasons, no courses are offered during the spring semesters. 

The EMTAX degree program begins twice a year and is held on the FAU Davie Campus in our state-of-the-art Davie West Facility:  

• Summer semester (May)
• Fall semester (August)  

Attendance Format:

• Fully Online: Access to recorded lectures 24/7 
  
  • Asynchronous, no set times for class attendance  
• Live-Streamed: Weekly live-streamed lectures on Saturday mornings from anywhere around the world 
• On-Campus: Attend optional in-person lectures (3 - 4 times per semester) on our Davie Campus once-a-month on Saturday (requires health immunization forms) 
• Combine all three options at no extra cost to you 

Program Duration: 

• Program Length: Between 1 ½ - 2 ½ years
• Semesters: 12 weeks (Summer); 16 weeks (Fall)   

Course Format: 

• Saturdays live-streaming 
• Classes are between: 9:00 AM – 1:15 PM 
• Weekly class lecture duration: 1 hour and 15 minutes per course 
• Recorded lectures available 24/7 
• Optional in-person lectures held once a month at the Davie West campus

Optional Once-a-month Class Location: 

• Join us on the FAU Davie Campus, in the state-of-the-art Davie West Facility 
• Breakfast and lunch included
